Russian bombers launched a preemptive strike on the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Last night, Tu-95MS long-range strategic bombers launched a massive missile attack on Ukrainian military facilities. Judging by the hit targets, the Russian Aerospace Forces thwarted the expected counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the strike was delivered by two waves of launches, with at least 15 strategic bombers involved in the second wave. According to the Ukrainian authorities, 95% of the missiles and kamikaze drones were shot down by air defense, but footage from the scene refutes this data.



Explosions sounded in the Nikolaev, Odessa, Poltava, Sumy and Kyiv regions. It was loudest in Pavlograd, Dnepropetrovsk region. According to preliminary data, X-101 missiles flew over the railway junction where the enemy was accumulating machinery and offensive ammunition.

As a result of the strike on Pavlograd, at least two divisions (16 launchers) of S-300 air defense systems were destroyed. In addition, Russian bombers managed to destroy supply vehicles with reserve ammunition. The railway junction of Pavlograd was actively used by the Ukrainian army for the transfer of reserves to Kramatorsk, Slavyansk and Artemovsk.


In addition to the bombers, the UAV-kamikaze "Geran" worked out at the facilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at night. These drones carried out strikes on enemy positions in the Kharkiv region. It is reported that targets were hit in the settlements of Bely Kolodez, Glushkovka and Kurilovka, from where Ukrainian militants attacked civilians in the Belgorod region.

There were no reports of power cuts in the areas of arrival of Russian missiles and UAVs. This suggests that the priority targets were enemy military facilities intended for a future counteroffensive.
